In 2001, the young 11-year old Afghan girl Parvana disguises herself as a boy following the arrest of her father. Her objective is to help her family survive and find her father. Adapted from the book by Deborah Ellis, directed by Nora Twomey ("The Secret of Kells") and co-produced by Angelina Jolie, " The Breadwinner "
